1978/1981
Ellebi began producing scarves in 1978. A perfect compliment to matching dresses, scarves were often combined with women’s outfits made from the same fabric and patterns.
1982/1986
The early eighties saw the rise of soft woven-cloth scarves, whose bright color schemes sometimes favored florescent shades. During this period, Ellebi began producing for a wide range of important brands, both nationally and internationally, expanding its product lines to include both shawls and ponchos.

1987/1992
During the late eighties and early nineties, ‘Burberry’ style scarves with classic Scottish Tartan patterns became especially popular. From a productive point of view, the company began specializing its craftsmanship and establishing the indisputable quality of its products, creating scarves using precious fibers like alpaca, cashmere and angora.
1993/1999
As styles started to change, Ellebi responded to market needs by modifying its product typology, changing its focus from the production of heavy, full-bodied scarves to the creation of light-weight, delicate accessories, adopting various types of fine brushed wool. During this period, the company developed finishing techniques based on pleated styles.
2000/2007
New finishing techniques were introduced in order to obtain various alternative styles based on washed, wrinkled and ripped effects, designed to make extremely fine accessories appear ‘well-worn’. The company also focused on the production of knit scarves.
Oggi
Scarves have become a highly prestigious accessory and are of paramount importance when it comes to defining a look. Ellebi continues to create refined scarves with special washed or ripped effects, designing top quality products characterized by their impeccable finish.
